Background: AI labs have read the public internet and now pay for what is private, yet only 27 of the 100 public deals Rightmark tracks name a dollar price. Rightmark works like a leasing agent: it finds the tenants, and the owner keeps the building and the rent.

Pilot scope

As of 12 October 2026 the appraisal is live and takes about a minute. Repo Check, a free script, values a Git repository on your own machine and never uploads code. The Price Index Q3 2026 covers 23 prices from 21 sources, and the deal tracker is free.

Controls and measurement

Every price is a range with a confidence level, marked "Indicative estimate, not an offer." Owners pay nothing upfront and keep ownership, and Rightmark never holds passwords. It does not need your files or system access to produce a range. No health data until a HIPAA program and vendor agreements are in place. The Scout terms and the legal pages are drafts for counsel review.
